Question: I get this overwhelming fear of love?

I have been hurt alot in my past, and everything good I have ever had has been taken away from me. I have an amazing boyfriend, who I love so much it scares me. Never in my life have I felt so passionalty about someone. I want to spend every second of my life with him. He loves me and says that we are forever. All of this emotion builds up inside me and I can do nothing but cry because I'm so afraid to loose him. I am mad at myself for letting myself fall so hardly for him. He's become my everything. He promises me that we are forever, and he hasnt done anything for me to think otherwise, but we are young so it is hard to believe. I cry and cry all the time at the thought of loosing him because I love him so much. I know this is not normal, why am I crying, I should be overly happy in love. Has anyone else ever felt this way? And does anyone know what I can do to try and change it?

Well, im 23 and I love my bf dearly, because I that, I don't have a fear of losing him. When we were first "together: I did because the relationship was new to me, but now I feel secure in us and that we are going to last for a very long time. I mean, you might feel like this because you are young and this is new to you. I think your bf promising you forever at this age would make me cry too! It is completely normal to have an overwhelming sense of joy when you feel so much love for another and it can cause the opposite effect. However, if the feeling persists you should ask yourself why are you REALLY crying.

Im sorry i cant answer this question. but, i can say to show not show him those emotions.. cause then he'll think your clingy. learn what love is. LOve comes in phases. If you havnet nocked off atleast 3 of them (for example, trust?) then you wont be with him for long.

We have all been hurt and it will not be the first or last, even if you and he stay together he can still hurt your feelings. You need to start to trust your relationship with him and have faith. He is probably not going to like it if you just cry all the time for no reason. You have to quit thinking about what has not come or may never. You do not want to drive him away at all so just be happy and relax....let nature be what it is...I fear if you let him see this crying side over nothing he may find it a major turn off and ridiculous. Be confident! Show yourself and him you are confident in your relationship as well! I have felt the want to be by him every second...but just go day by day and you just need a different mind set to help stop crying be happy and enjoy the time you are having with him instead of dwelling on things that have not happened and might not.

I feel the same way i am taking to this guy and i have been hurt so much i cant believe i am actually getting back out there i really think that you should not think about the negative because if u think about it if you think negative negative is going to come out and if u think positive positive is going to come out and when u start feeling negative think he loves me and i love him and rejection is a part of life but you should not let you past keep you from being happy that is how i always look at it and it helps me because if you start being negative you are going to be sad when you see him and he is going to think bad or what have i done and then you have a whole new set of problems so remember just be happy don't let your past catch up with you

Yes, i was married to a guy for 22 years and i was crazy over him, thought i would die with out him boy! was i wrong about my feelings. I got a job working for a law firm and this guy came into the office to see a attorney the moment we looked at each other the fire works began and never went out. the guy that i loved so dearly for 22 years wasn't love. I found out he had two kids with some one else and has always cheated thur our marriage. I am so happy with the man im with now , i look back and say to myself, how did i " think " i loved that man for 22 years. waited and worried about him for years got sick over him and for what he cheated on me and it took 22 years for me to find out about his children wow! the lord has his own plan for each of us. if you have faith in the lord, he will bring you the right kind of love, and that`s guarantee!
